Verstappen Hoping For A Repeat

Verstappen Praying For Rain

Max Verstappen is praying for rain ahead of the weekend’s Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix.  This has precious little to do with Verstappen’s being religiously inclined or Brazil facing a drought but instead has everything to do with Verstappen’s performance exactly one year ago when he sped around the track in soaked conditions in such a manner that he was awarded the FIA Action of the year award.  An award that is without a doubt right up Red Bull’s alley.  Nerve wrecking overtakes performed to perfection coupled with a close call with the barriers on the final corner all culminated in one of the most incredible podium positions secured in the history of Formula 1 Racing.

Verstappen firmly believes that Red Bull does not have enough momentum to beat rivals Mercedes or Ferrari in ordinary, dry conditions in Brazil.  The only saving grace seems to be the opportunity to recreate the amazing stunts of last year in the event that the heavens do open up and pour out bucketsful of F1 mercy on team Red Bull.

Verstappen has cited the elevation changes on the straight as the biggest problem facing Red Bull in Brazil.

Lucky Number 7

The idea of Lewis Hamilton having the potential of ultimately securing 7 Formula 1 championships isn’t quite as far-fetched as what it may seem at first glance.  Not considering that the F1 superstar already has a total of 4 under his belt and is only 32 years old. If you want to bet on what you think the outcome will be, then Luxbet is the place to do so online.

Lewis now officially only comes in behind Michael Schumacher, who has won 7 championship titles and Juan Manuel Fangio, who holds the all time second place with 5.

When the 8th F1 season commenced Hamilton won his very first Formula 1 championship.  It is now barely 4 years later and Hamilton is already a four-time world champion.  At 32 Lewis Hamilton is obviously very much in the prime of his F1 career and what with having won double digit races in each of the Formula 1 seasons over the last 3 years, Hamilton has already done what no other Formula 1 driver before him has managed to do.  Ever.

Hamilton has managed to turn the obviously ridiculous and unlikely into a sure-fire thing and it will come as no surprise to anyone when he does eventually reach the almighty 7.

Lewis Hamilton will continue to race for Mercedes during the 2018 Formula 1 season.
