Conor McGregor Calls Daniel Cormier A Mess

August 13, 2021 by

Irishman and UFC star Conor McGregor can’t seem to let go of his beef with commentator and former ultimate fight champion Daniel Cormier.

After Cormier last month claimed McGregor had crossed aa line by insulting Khabib Nurmagomedov and his late father, the Irishman appears to have renewed his need for a feud on social media. The insulting tweets have since been removed from Twitter – but not before McGregor referred to Cormier as a disgrace and a mess.

According to a report by a prominent MMA news page, Cormier and fellow-commentator Laura Sanko partook in a drinking contest ahead of the Irishman’s recent stand-off with Dustin Poirier. McGregor wasted no time pouncing on the incident as an opportunity to diss Cormier on Twitter – while accusing the broadcaster of having arrived drunk at the Las Vegas event.

Cormier has in the meantime responded to McGregor’s outlash with a climbing in of his own on his video podcast. He reportedly admonishes the Irishman to quit worrying about how he (Cormier) happens to behave and dress – and instead pay attention to everyone who keeps beating the fighter at the Octagon. He also goes on to refer to the fight in question as one that saw Poirier sticking it to McGregor in Vegas.

McGregor is currently recovering from an injury sustained to his leg during his loss against Poirier in June. He’s expected to be out for the count for the remainder of the year, and then some.
