Andy Murray Has Returned To Wimbledon

June 20, 2018 by

Andy Murray, the once reigning king of the tennis world who ranked at number one, has returned to the courts after a year long absence. Murray was forced to take time off due to a hip injury that he sustained while playing.

Murray’s first match is set to be against Australian Nick Kyrgios in a first round that will be a part of a series in preparation for Wimbledon 2018, which will be taking place next month. Murray has already been back in the courts training hard as he gets himself ready for the road ahead to Wimbledon.

Murray has told reporters that he is ready to move forward and that that he is looking forward to playing. He added that there have been times where he had been practising on the court, but was unable to move past the start line.

Murray continued by explaining that while you play a sport to win, being away from it begins to make you realise that you love that sport, and that he never expected his professional tennis career to go so far. He conveyed his frustration at having trained for six months but still not being in the position that he wants to be in.

Murray said that one of the lowest points of his professional career was the realisation that there was a good chance he would need to have hip surgery before he could play again, but fortunately that hasn’t been the case.
