It was their win against Anfield in a 5-2 match that saw them pushed to the finals. The final will see Liverpool fight against Real Madrid for the ultimate title, while Real Madrid is looking to secure the trophy for the third year in a row.
The game between Roma and Liverpool was played at the Stadio Olimpico, where Roma, who have fought tooth and nail to retain their winning streak on home ground.

Their strategy against Liverpool from the start was to always have four men behind the ball, as reported by head coach Eusebio Di Francesco. His strategy didn’t last too long, however, and by the ninth minute, Sadio Mane of Liverpool managed to grab the ball from a failed pass and make the first goal.
Liverpool maintained control of the ball until the half-time break, after which they began losing ground to Roma after a series of assaults. Edin Dzeko was the first to score again after the break, and broke through Loris Karis to push Roma forward another point.
The teams remained tied all the way to the end of the match, but the referee awarded Roma a penalty in the 93rd minute, which was used to gain the advantage by Nainggolan.
Despite the 4-2 win for the night, Liverpool still lead overall with 7-6.
