Hisense Australia, the branch of the Chinese multinational major appliance and electronics manufacturer located in Melbourne, recently announced that it has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the National Rugby League. The new contract states that the company will become the NRL Telstra Premiership’s Official Partner, the naming rights sponsor of the Thursday Night Football NRL broadcast commencing soon, and that they will be a part of all of 2020’s upcoming Premiership matches and Finals Series fixtures.
Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia Andre Iannuzzi let it be known that his company is thrilled at the prospect of this new partnership and grateful for the chance to bring the brand closer to the NRL’s passionate fanbase. He said this major sponsorship reflects the organisation’s focus on showcasing their premium, innovative range of products to people from this country and underscores the firm’s commitment to its customers. He added that it also ensures that fans can experience their favourite matches in as crisp, clear, and true-to-life a manner as is possible.
Chief Commercial Officer for the NRL Andrew Abdo chimed in, saying that this deal reinforces how the NRL’s value is always on the rise when it comes to financers and underscores that the League’s scale and reach can deliver deeply meaningful engagement with customers and drive beneficial returns on investments.
Hisense will additionally be a Major Partner for the State of Origin this year and in 2021 and the deal includes digital integrations, social media, and stadium branding.
