Despite the lack of official plans, O’Brien has made it clear that he has a provisional list in the works, which might be revealed at a later date. The trainer also revealed details about Magic Wand’s flat run in the Irish Oaks, saying that the horse had a bit of a dirty nose, and that she performed a below-par run.
O’Brien told reporters that at the moment, Kew Gardens’s participating is a possibility. Other choices include Cliffs of Moher, Rostropovich, as well as Nelson. He went on to say that Kew Gardens has been progressing well, and that him and the team were delighted at the performance of the horse in France.
He lastly added that they were waiting to see what the riders have in mind, but that Kew Gardens did so well in France that he’s up for consideration for the races at Ascot, but the decision is yet to be made among him and his team.
