No Original Eagles Players In 2018 Pro Bowl

The original roster for the 2018 Pro Bowl as already announced on December 20th, but with the situation being as it is that many players have since indicated that they will not be available to participate on Sunday, the NFL has had to make some changes, the competition now being mere days away.

Seasons running from 2013 – 2015 saw the NFL going with what is referred to as an unconferenced format, but they have announced that this year they will be following AFC-NFC format once more, making this the second year in a row that they have reverted back to the old familiar.

Tom Brady’s absence will no doubt be one of the bigger disappointments.  Brady will not be participating in Orlando, Florida on Sunday what with having bigger fish to fry on February 4th, when the Super Bowl gets underway.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been called on to fill Brady’s shoes.  Every initial Eagles players vote has had to be re-filled, with none of the original Eagles players available to play.

NFL To Honour UFC Undefeated Season

The NFL has said that it plans to honour UFC’s undefeated season at the Pro Bowl on Sunday.  UFC has managed a 13-0 victorious match streak, having gone undefeated for the entire season.  Director of Events Strategy for the NFL, Matt Shapiro, shed some light on the decision saying that the NFL had considered the absolutely amazing season had by UFC and thought it ideal to celebrate this in the city of Orlando; to do something special to recognize and celebrate college football.

Representatives from the NFL have been involved in talks with UFC for the last couple of weeks, discussing and formulating strategies on how to promote the game in Orlando.  This partners up perfectly with the very culture of the Pro Bowl, which is to promote football to all levels, from young players to professional players and the idea was to attract a stronger college presence to this year’s competition.

Many UFC players have confirmed their attendance at the Pro Bowl and celebratory event, and also a number of former players.  Sunday will most definitely mark UFC’s final opportunity to reflect back and celebrate what has been a fantastic season.  After the Pro Bowl the focus will be shifted to the new season that lies ahead and what it will most likely hold for UFC.
