Groves is the current super-middleweight champion for the World Boxing Association, and will be putting the belt on the line for the second time in the match against Eubank. This was a series of eight-man KO tournament with a final round scheduled for the summer, in which Groves knocked Jamie Cox out in the fight’s fourth round.

The winner of the fight between Groves and Eubank Junior will go on to take part in a match for the first Muhammad Ali Trophy, to take place in May, against either Callum Smith or Juergen Brahmer.

The British boxers will be getting into the ring on the 2nd of February 2018, at the Manchester Arena, and the tickets for the fight sold out within just hours of becoming available. The timing of the evening’s main event will depend on how the undercard progresses, much of which remains to be confirmed.

Based on previous events at this venue, however, the fighters will most likely begin their ring walks at about 22h30.

Watching the Fight on TV/Online

Boxing in Britain has for the most part been taken up by Sky Sports and, more recently, BT Sports, with lesser events being shown on Channel 5. However, the WBSS have a deal in place with ITV to show all their fights in the super-middleweight and cruiserweight divisions.
