American Matthew Wolff has said that his life has been changed forever after he won a PGA Tour title for his fourth event. The 20 year old claimed an eagle at the 18th for the 3M Open played in Twin Cities in the United States, where he rolled a 26 foot putt from the fringe for a one shot lead against Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeCharnbeau.
The win means that he is now able to participate in the PGA Tour until 2021, and has been given entry to the Masters and US PGA Championships that will be taking place next year. Talking about his win, the player stated that it was a really special feeling, and that he proved to himself that he can be out there.
Wolff was playing in his fourth PGA Tour event, and only his third as a professional player. Talking about his eagle on the last, Wolff said that he was shaking, and that a lot of his putts weren’t going in on the day, and he was telling himself that one of them was eventually bound to drop in. He added that it happened at the right time, and he gave it a chance and it went over the right spot that he had pointed out, and the tears started falling as soon as it dropped into the hole.
His win marks him as the youngest winner on the PGA Tour since Jordan Spieth in 2013.
